Before buying any car from Collectingcars.com

Are Car Auctions Honest?

Are cars auctions honest? Let’s explain the dangerous system of Collecting cars.

They exhibit and promote private cars, given their lack of expertise, they repeat the sellers’ descriptions and their unfortunate lies. If you buy a car, there is no guarantee on the veracity of the information. And we have been the unfortunate victim of their dishonesty, their arrogance and their malice.

We bought a Lotus, the description was a perfect car, low km and new. I contacted the Belgian manager Ben Gryspeirt who guaranteed me and confirmed the perfection of the car. I asked him what happened if the car did not match the description and there before a very British arrogance, he explained to me that in this case Collectiong car would solve the problem because they are serious people, but it is quite the opposite

As you can see from his message, we received the car and noticed a problem with the gear lever, we warned Collecting cars and we saw the deceit and dishonesty of Ben Gryspeirt who insulted us, made fun of us by even accusing us of having broken the gearbox ourselves! What a shock

After being insulted, we spoke with Sam, a nice guy, who told us, we’ll sort everything out, no stress, we’ll fix everything

Do you know the song by Dalida?

Just words, promises, promises to put us to sleep, but I was born awake.

After Sam’s empty promises, we spoke with Rohan Gupta, the European manager, the Pinocchio in chief who has all the qualities.

Haughty, arrogant, a liar and took me for a beggar.

He offered me 1000 euros when the very simple repair cost 2000 euros. It’s the blue plastic ball that is no longer available at Lotus.

Apologies for Ben’s insults? No

Apologies for the broken promises? No

Just the arrogance of telling me that I must not make noise in exchange for 1000 euros.

Now  you know, all descriptions are worthless, if you buy without seeing,  you buy a pig in a poke and you will cry alone because Collecting car  will tell you to go to Church, if you pay for a car and do not receive  it, Collecting car will not be responsible. They are not responsible for  anything except taking money from honest people. Dangerous system where  nobody is responsible and And even those responsible are irresponsible  and incompetent because the facts are clear, we were  insulted, we were scammed and Collecting cars deceived us about the  perfection of the car, because we were guaranteed that the car had been  checked and was perfect

They lies, they insult me, because I complain, they block me , here the true face of Collectingcars.com and his manager ..BEWARE

Another Problem with RX7

Same problems with a Mazda RX7 advertise as a real rally car when in  reality the car was a street car look like rally car who was use for  promotions. Chassis not welded , suspensions street, engine street, non  originals gauges , Yes, the car have a MRT chassis number, but everybody in the community know this car, it’s not a GR B rally car but was  advertise as is. Sadly Collecting cars take no responsibility for the  lies of their clients and the victim will be sadly the buyer. Somethings is wrong , you cannot offer a car and repeating the lies of the client without taking responsibility

Fake Chassis Number

As  you can see the fake chassis number, this car was a replica, “A fake car” that  Collecting cars advertise and promote as a real car, the problem is that auction company hire employees with no knowledge about the cars, and then the new owner will end up buying a fake car and Collecting cars will wash their hands for the problem. Just look the fake chassis number and tell me what you think !

Disappointing and Risky Transaction Process with Collecting Cars

I recently had a disappointing experience with Collecting Cars when I won an auction for a Tasmanian license plate. I’m located in Sydney, the seller is in Melbourne, and after winning the auction, Collecting Cars immediately deducted the buyer fees but didn’t charge me for the plate itself. Instead, I received an email from Collecting Cars with the seller’s contact details, instructing me to handle the transaction directly with them.

This process is highly problematic. How can you trust someone you’ve never met with your money, hoping they’ll send you the plate afterward? When I reached out to their support team, they were unhelpful, simply saying that I needed to trust the process, emphasizing that they’ve sold million-dollar plates this way. Frankly, this is a joke.

I’ve participated in many auctions, and reputable companies usually deduct the full amount first, then release the payment to the seller once the buyer has received the product. That’s how it should be done—not just collecting fees and leaving you to fend for yourself.

Now, I’m stuck having to coordinate with the seller in a different state, incurring additional travel costs and wasting time. I would not recommend this service at all.

Do NOT trust this auction platform

Do NOT trust this auction platform. They block you from asking questions that do not benefit them. The seller misrepresented service info on the listing, that was questioned by a few bidders, and Collecting Cars BLOCKED access to ASK relevant questions. They then reached out via text to say they will edit the listing and never did so. Both text and questions… I have in writing! Screen shots available! This is NOT ok!

Brought an Audi r8 and collecting cars…

Brought an Audi r8 and collecting cars weren’t helpful with resolving issues between me and seller. When I start the cars at seller premises, airbag warning ⚠️ light appeared. I inform seller and I been told by seller that this must be because I hold the key for long when I start the car. It will be go away in some time. Warning light is still there and I been told by Audi service station that they need to change whole airbag component. Costing me time and money now.

When I informed this whole incident to collecting car. I been told to sort out with seller at my own end.

To consider bidding you must enter a…

To consider bidding you must enter a card number, if you bid, it takes your bid to max, then immediately charges your card at least AUS $1100, then try to sort it, and they wont, be very careful, as they just want their commission and take no other responsibility at all.

If loosing at least $1100 is OK, then you will be fine.

I have tried everything to get out of it, even though auction is days away from finishing.

Criminals

Unprofessional at first, now verging on criminal.

Having listed my 911 Turbo S for auction with a reserve, I was surprised to see how much pressure is put on you to lower your reserve as the auction comes to a close.

I was promised by Collecting Cars that they would pay me £500 if I were to lower my reserve by this amount – to make the sale happen by meeting the highest bidder at their bid. With it meaning that I would be no worse off, I agreed.

The sale was agreed on 28 February 2024. Having chased Archie Henderson multiple times, we are now on 10 June 2024, with the £500 still remaining unpaid.

It’s a disappointing reality that I may find myself having to issue a court claim to reclaim what is effectively monies taken from me by deception.

Purchased a car that turns out not to have papers!

Purchased a car from Spain, which turned out to have no import documentation making the purchase impossible. The auction did not mention it at all, whilst the seller had informed Collecting Cars at start. Nobody replies at Collecting Cars despite emails and calls, and now I have paid an auction fee for nothing.

Clutch totaly worn…

I am not very happy with my last acquisition, the third on CC. The car arrive with a clutch totaly worn and nobody in CC could help me for finding a deal with the seller. The cost is higher than 10 000 €.

Before Buying Anything with CollectingCars.com you need to think 1000 times before making your purchase; if you want to destroy your peace of mind than go a head
